A Little Thank You to the Shop Volunteers

There was a special treat waiting in store for all the shop volunteers today. It’s thanks to their commitment that the shop has been able to remain open – every day – throughout the current crisis. There are 30 volunteers – including 4 village youngsters doing their community service (as part of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme). They’ve all put in a shift for the village during the lockdown, often several times a week, serving customers, delivering orders, keeping the shop well stocked and constantly clean, etc.

Today that service was recognised with a beautifully personalised cupcake! The cakes were baked by our very own Rustic Caterer, Fiona Love. The labels were each hand crafted by Support @ Titchmarsh member, Lucy Milner.

Without volunteers, we wouldn’t have a shop. Without your custom there wouldn’t be a shop for them to work in. Remember to pop in next time you’re passing. If everyone picks up a few items a week the future of the shop will be assured.
