Exercise4Happiness with Steph Taylor

Hi, my name is Stephanie Taylor and I am delighted to begin teaching a weekly Exercise4Seniors class in Titchmarsh starting on Monday 30th October at 11am in the Pavilion at the Playing Fields. My mission is to help people look, move and feel better about themselves while having a good time. So, if you’re in your prime … like me ..I’m 54, and would like to come to a relatively gentle, low impact, traditional exercise to music class, then please come and join in the fun.

I am already teaching classes in Sawtry and they are full! The feedback I have had is that they are like “Davina’s workout videos“, “they are great fun” and “You play great music that we can sing along to from the 60s, 70s and 80s“.

Each class begins with a warm up, taking you through some basic movement patterns, then leads on to a 30 minute low impact routine which will leave you feeling a bit puffed but not exhausted. Then follows some strength, balance and flexibility work using resistance bands or light hand held weights. We do not do any exercises on the floor. This is because many people say “I could get down there, but I’m never getting back up again!” so we use the wall or a chair for support while standing. After class there will be time for free tea or coffee and a chat so we can get to know one another ..so please don’t rush off.

I qualified many many years ago as an exercise class instructor and then went on to teach and assess others to become fitness instructors. I gained my masters degree in Sport and Exercise from DeMontford University and, after taking a break to raise a family, did a NVQ Level 3 refresher course in exercise and the older adult. I am really excited to begin a class in Titchmarsh as I hear you are quite a fit village. I can probably fit about 20 people max in the class so please come early so as not to be disappointed. Places will be on a first come first served basis and is £5 per person.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Keep movin!

Steph
