Fruit & Veg at the Village Shop

Our selection of fruit and veg was dramatically improved yesterday as Stuart from the Wheatsheaf arrived with a sack of King Edwards and several trays of top quality fruit and vegetables. As we open up this morning, we now have:- iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, fresh tomatoes and red peppers, along with some family size broccoli, cauliflower, onions, mushrooms and carrots.

For fruit there is a choice of granny smiths and crunchy red apples and some luscious lemons – ideal to go with your Titchmarsh Tipple No1 gin & tonic as you enjoy the spring sunshine predicted for today (we also have nicely chilled Schweppes tonic on the top shelf of our fridge). Also in the chiller early customers will find some fruit yoghurts and the full range of Meah’s curry sauces.

Milk & bread are being topped up daily with Kingscliffe bakery & Blunhams dairy really pulling out the stops to keep us topped up. We have a few boxes of eggs we will shortly be able to get some additional supplies of loose eggs from our vegetable supplier.

It would be a great help if you could bring  back any empty egg boxes to the shop the next time you visit.

We had a small delivery of Brampton pies and sausage rolls yesterday, with another delivery scheduled for later today.

Chocolate, biscuits and Burts crisps are available if you need a tea break whilst you dust off your recipe books to create a masterpiece family dinner from fresh ingredients every day (not just on Sunday!)
