Get Ready for the Titchmarsh Annual Show!

With August fast approaching the Annual Titchmarsh Show is almost upon us. Every year the show provides Titchmarsh with an opportunity for the community to show off its talents. There are classes for adults and children, from showing vegetables and flowers to handicraft, photography, cakes, jam, beers and wines to name but a few. So, whatever your talent there is something for you!

You are invited to enter the efforts of your labours into any [or all!] of the following classes:

• Vegetables
• Fruit
• Flowers & Roses
• Floral Art
• Home Produce
• Home made wine spirits and beverages
• Handicraft
• Young peoples classes, age 12 – 16, 7 – 11’s and 6 and under.

All entrants [apart from the winners] remain anonymous. So you can enter as many different classes as you wish secure in the knowledge that no-one will ever know it’s you, unless you win!

You will need to enter before the day, and bring your exhibits to the church before 11am on Show day. Full details are in the programme. Alternatively, visit the Show page on the village website below (where you will also see some amazing photos of past entries!):

Here you will find an entry sheet which you can download and print out. You can then email it in advance to showentries@titchmarsh.info .

The church goes into lockdown at 11.15am on Show day. The Show opens to the public at 2.30pm, when we all check out the winning entries, catch up with old friends and take a break with tea and cakes.

At 4.15pm exhibitors are allowed to remove their exhibits, although they are encouraged to leave them to be auctioned, which follows at 5pm.

If you can’t make the afternoon opening of the Show, why not come along and enjoy the auction. The amazingly fresh items that are auctioned include mixed boxes of vegetables, sometimes many marrows depending on the growing year, many flowers and roses, prize winning cakes and jams etc; and all at such amazing prices.

It’s a great Titchmarsh day out. Don’t miss it.
