International Women’s Day – Film Night

On Friday 8th March we will again be celebrating International Women’s Day with a Film Night in the church. Doors (& bar) open at 7 p.m. for a 7:30 start. As you may recall, as a term of our licence, we are not to publicise the title of the film anywhere but inside the church. There is a poster in the porch. You can be reassured that the film is very entertaining, funny, more feminist than you might guess and some of the costumes are quite pink. Entry is £7.50 which includes a welcome drink. There will be drinks, raffle tickets, sweets & ice-cream available to purchase (hopefully this year sales of ice creams will not be affected by snow!) There is no need to book but if you do intend to come could you let Jackie Rowe 07710165635, jackie.rowe47@outlook.com know just so we have an idea how many seats and glasses to get out. All payments can be card or cash.
Proceeds from the evening will go to the charity “Women for Women International”. This charity supports women in conflict zones and helps them build a better future.
Their slogan is “Stronger Women, Stronger Nations”
We hope to see you on the 8th.
