It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
Walking round the village today, there are tell-tale signs that Christmas must be just around the corner…
Some gardens have been sprouting a snake of extension cables and junction boxes, whilst ladders and even a cherry picker have been spotted nestling against gable ends as Christmas lights are being readied to brighten up our dark December days. Even the Phone box has received a glittery makeover, as it prepares to receive its colourful Christmas greetings from around the village **
If you’re planning to bring some glitz and glamour to your house, then why not add one of our Christmas wreaths to your front door. Our Noble Fir (£16) or traditional Holly (£10) have just arrived in the Village Shop from Tandee Nursery at Thurning (who make more than 5000 of every year!).
They will also be available to buy this weekend at the Village Shop Christmas Fayre, and don’t forget we also have a BBQ, Bar, Teas and a great selection of Christmas games and goodies to keep you entertained.
See you on Sunday from 12 o’clock in the Church…
** Blank cards for the phone box are available from the Village Shop (minimum donation £10) with all money raised going to the Thrapston Food Bank.
