Newbrook Farm Change of Use – New Application Submitted
A number of people have contacted the website asking for an update regarding the new plans for Newbrook Farm. As many readers may recall, a retrospective planning application for change of use was submitted to East Northants Council at the end of last year for the former agricultural site on the edge of Islington to be used for industrial purposes (Ref: 18/02401/FUL). It is currently the base for a number of companies including AC Binns Ltd – a haulage firm who have a license to operate up 16 vehicles from the site. Titchmarsh Parish Council did not support the proposal and at the ENC planning meeting held in March 2019 the application was refused.
In October 2019 a new planning application was submitted:
Outwardly the application would appear very similar to the previous retrospective application. The desired change of use classes remain the same:
- B1(c): Industrial processes
- B2: General Industrial
- B8: Storage or distribution – inc. open air storage.
For further information on the application please visit the ENC planning portal, here. The application is on the Agenda at the next Parish Council meeting taking place on Tuesday 19th November at 7:30 at the Pavilion where villagers are able to make comments during public open time.
