Christmas Fayre

Get in the mood for Christmas and come along to the Titchmarsh Christmas Fayre to be held in St Mary’s church and hosted by Titchmarsh Village Shop and Titchmarsh Pre- school.

Village Shop and Pre-School Christmas Fayre

Once again the Village Shop & Pre-School have teamed up to bring you another Festive Frenzy of Family Fun. New for this year the Pre-School have invited a professional photographer to capture a picture perfect portrait of your children, pets, or even your Auntie Flo – what a great idea for a unique Christmas present. Santa will be popping in to make sure that all the children have been behaving this year, and to check on their Christmas lists, so they won’t be disappointed on Christmas day. There will also be an opportunity to buy some of the festive crafts that the children are busy making to sell on the day…and if your family loves Christmas, why not enter our Family Christmas Tree Competition?

We are looking for table top trees no more than 1m tall (3 feet in old money!) – let your imagination run wild, get out the glitter and glue and show us what you can do. Trees can be real or, home-made out of anything you have lying around the house. Be inspired by your inner Blue Peter (remember Tracy Island) – there will be prizes for the best three trees, as judged by our Chief Elf – Shirley Curtis.

If all this sounds like thirsty work, then you won’t be disappointed with our refreshments – there will be Tea & Cake, Mulled Wine and Mince Pies, Soup and a roll, and because the fun starts at 12 o’clock lunchtime, you will be greeted by the aroma of sizzling sausages, venison burgers & pork and apple burgers, from the barbecue just outside the main entrance to the church.
For those of you who like a little tipple, we will have our usual selection of fine ales from NVB and Nobbies, and new to the village shop ranges, we have a selection of Warner Edwards Gins (created just off the A14 in the village of Harrington) for you to try.

With the best of our Christmas ranges from the village shop, some great prizes in our Christmas raffle, and Sophia’s lyrical ladies choir to set the mood – join us in Titchmarsh Church from 12 o’clock on Sunday 3rd December –for perfect way to start your Christmas.
