Following the closure of Wattie’s in Aldwincle, the Village Shop has taken on the newspaper sales and delivery round previously provided by Trevor and Pat Watts. Keen to continue this vital service to our community, we can arrange delivery of newspapers and magazines Monday to Friday, for a delivery charge of £2 per week. Alternatively, papers can be collected from the Shop without a delivery charge and Saturday and Sunday papers can be collected. We will also take vouchers for those customers who prefer to pre pay. If you would like a delivery service, we just ask that you set up an account at the Shop. There will be additional papers to buy on a daily basis but the titles will depend on what the wholesaler decides to send us.

This is a major step change for the Shop, not only in recruiting an additional volunteer who is willing to take delivery and sort the papers early in the mornings, but for us getting to grips with newspaper wholesale! So please bear with us during the first few weeks….
