Sermon and Prayers for the Feast of Pentecost

Pentecost which we celebrate today is regarded as the birthday of the Christian church and the start of the church’s mission to the world. It comes 50 days after Easter (the name being derived from the Greek pentekoste, “fiftieth”).

This week’s sermon and prayers provided by our Reader Carolyn Brawn are attached as usual both are in word and pdf formats, together with a picture referred to in Carolyn’s sermon (above). The Scripture readings this week are Acts 2.1-21; and John 7.37-39.

Do feel free to share the sermons and intercessions with anyone as you feel appropriate.
