Skittles Challenge, Live Music & More
It’s already been a busy week in Titchmarsh and there’s plenty more to come. On Tuesday evening nine teams battled it out as the Wheatsheaf hosted their monthly pub quiz. It was a lively and competitive mood with victory in the balance all the way. After six rounds (and much gnashing of teeth) Steve Mansfield’s team won by a whisker and took home the winnings. The next quiz will be held on Tuesday, April 26th. Book early to secure a table.

Titchmarsh on Film
On Thursday it was standing room only in the Clubroom as the History Group presented several films showing Titchmarsh in the 60s, 80s and 90s. It was a delight to see our much-loved village through the ages. There seemed to be far more trees once upon a time and the roads were much narrower. Some of them – like Tofts Close – hadn’t even been built!
Titchmarsh House Gardens
Today, Ewan and Jenny Harper invite you to visit their garden at Titchmarsh House on Chapel Street. It’s a beautiful day to have a wander so don’t miss out. Entry is free but no dogs please.

Live Music
Later on Friday evening there is live music in The Wheatsheaf for the first time in ages. Solo musician CJ Hatt will be doing his bit to raise the roof – so come on down to support him and the pub.
12 Hour Charity Skittles Challenge
Finally, please don’t forget about the 12 hour skittles challenge being held in the Wheatsheaf on Saturday. The pub team tragically lost two of its players in 2020-2021 and this sponsored event aims to raise money for the two services that were there when they were needed most. The Cynthia Spencer Hospice and the Air Ambulance both played vital roles and every penny raised will help secure their future.

Put simply, you never know when you or your loved ones might need these services – so please support this event with a donation.
There will be a collection pot on the bar for small donations throughout the day. If you’d like to pledge something a bit bigger then put your name on the list of sponsors.
Have a great weekend!
