The Poet and the Clown – Encore

Next month there is another chance to attend the Our Famous Ancestors talk presented by the Titchmarsh History Group. Such was the success of the presentation in the spring by Lucy Milner and Antar Howarth on their illustrious ancestors, the poet Edward Thomas and Coco the Clown, that they have kindly agreed to a repeat performance.

This engaging and sometimes humorous chat delves into the lives of two people who left an indelible mark on British history. Edward Thomas wrote what is often cited as Britain’s favourite poem, Adelstrop – whilst Coco was instrumental in establishing the first road safety campaign for children.

So, if you missed it last time or just want to be enthralled again by the stories that Lucy and Antar have to tell, then please come along to The Clubroom at 7.30 on Tuesday 7th November.

As always, entry and refreshments are free.
