Thurning Feast Cancelled
The organising committee of the Thurning Feast have announced that this year’s event will not go ahead. The popular country fair is held on 25th July every year to coincide with the Feast of St James – the patron of Thurning Church. With several live bands, trade stalls and vintage fair ground rides – not to mention endless food and drink – it remains one of the most anticipated summer events on the local calendar. The Feast had only recently re-started after a pause of several years through the Covid lockdown. This new cancellation comes as both a surprise and a blow. We can only hope it returns next year.
