Vacancy for Parish Clerk of Titchmarsh Parish Council

Jill Sardeson has been our Parish Clerk since September 2018. Liz is taking on some new challenges in her life, which means that, although she would like to continue to do so, she regretfully no longer has time to include Titchmarsh Parish Council in her busy schedule.
We are therefore looking for someone to take on the role from May 2021 – ideally someone who knows the village and its community. Enthusiasm and the willingness to learn is essential and if you have suitable qualifications and/or experience this will be an added bonus.
The parish clerk is responsible for the administration of the business of the council including its finances. He or she must be computer literate, with good communication skills. A friendly and positive outlook is essential.
The job involves 25 hours a month, mostly working flexibly at home, with attendance required at monthly parish council meetings, and very occasionally at other council meetings and events. Training will be available, including an extensive handover with the current clerk, and salary will be commensurate with experience.
