Village Shop Re-launch a great success
England may have come second in Japan, but it was a much better day for the USA when Rick & Sue scooped the winning hamper in the village shop re-launch raffle.
We are delighted to report that the shop had a record day, in spite of the high winds and driving rain we were greeted with first thing in the morning. Visitors to the shop were able to enjoy our sample table with warm sausage rolls & pasties alongside the famous Black Bomber Cheese – definitely one for your Christmas table! On the drinks front, our new range of wines proved very popular, but the standout success of the day went to our new gin – “Titchmarsh Tipple No1” with more than 25 bottles sold on the day. Also a winner with Titchmarsh shoppers was the “Two Birds Salted Caramel Vodka” which is distilled in Market Harborough. Don’t worry if you missed the chance to taste our new ranges today. They will all be available to try at the Christmas Fayre in St Mary’s Church on Sunday 1st December.
So a big thank you to everyone who has supported the village shop since we returned from a sweltering week in the Clubroom back in August – and although the refit is now finished, we still have some new ideas to try out in the coming months… Watch this space!
