100 Years Celebration of Winnie the Pooh

On 29th August at the Playing Fields from 11am – 4pm STAUNCH will holding a fantastic Fund Raising event to celebrate 100 Years of Winnie the Pooh. Entry is a £5 donation to receive a Treasure Trail map with clues to find various famous bears hiding around Titchmarsh village with a prize for the winner.

At the Playing Field there will be activities galore for children to enjoy including a ”Tigger’s Bouncing Zone” Bouncy Castle; Owl and Winnie the Pooh’s Reading Corner where children can choose from a selection of bear books to read themselves or they can cuddle up with Tigger and friends while listening to Winnie the Pooh stories being read by our local story teller. There are fun games to play including Pin the Tail on Eeyore.

We have a craft making area which includes the chance to make a Pooh Honey Pot or a Piglet Kite for Blustery Days which children can fly on the field. To add to the fun of the day – children can choose wear a Winnie the Pooh character from our Face Painting stand.

When you are in need of a rest and something to eat there is a 100 Acre Wood Picnic area – bring your own or there are both adult and children’s themed Paddington and Winnie the Pooh picnic bags to purchase.

Fun for everyone- so end the school holidays with a fantastic day out with one of our best loved bears and support STAUNCH at the same time!
