A14 Nightly Road Closures

National Highways are undertaking road repairs to the A14 over a period of nine weeks. All work will be carried out on weeknights between 9pm to 6am – weather permitting.

During the work, all crossover points will be closed except for Junction 16, Catworth, which will remain open. As work progresses more sections will be opened to local traffic.

The schedule of work is shown below.

Phase 4Wednesday 5 October to Friday 21 October Westbound closure of the A14 between junction 22, Brampton Hut and junction 13, Thrapston.

Diversions

Motorway permitted traffic travelling eastbound will be diverted off the A14 at junction 13 (Thrapston) to join the A605 then the A1(M) at junction 17 and continue to Brampton Hut Interchange to re-join the A14 eastbound. Westbound traffic will follow the same route but in reverse.

Any eastbound traffic not permitted for motorway use will be diverted off the A14 at junction 13 (Thrapston) onto the A605, Fletton Parkway and exit at junction 3 onto The Serpentine, A15 (London Road), B1043, A1307 and exit at junction 23 before joining the A141 to Brampton Hut Interchange to continue their journey. Westbound traffic will follow the same route but in reverse.
