Titchmarsh Annual Show

2026 is our 50th year!

This year’s Show, on Saturday 15th August in the church, promises to be a memorable occasion.

  • We have a ‘golden’ theme, with a marquee showing previous years programmes and photos from the last 50 years along with newspaper articles recording previous show glories and winners.
  • There are colouring competitions for children underway now, with winning entries on display on Show day.
  • There will be balloons and bunting inside the church, themed classes and we’re running a free raffle for all adults who enter something into the Show, with the winner getting £50!
  • It’s going to be a great afternoon, make sure you come and enjoy the Show, which opens at 2.30pm.
  • The auction, at 5pm’ish is not to be missed, so even if you can’t make the Show we’d love to see you at the auction, which is always entertaining.

Our Show provides an opportunity for everyone to showcase their talents and enjoy some local competition. There are classes for adults and children, ranging from vegetables and flowers to handicrafts, photography, cakes, jam, spirits, and wines. Entries are anonymous unless you win, ensuring no embarrassment!

Show Programme and Entries

Show programmes will be delivered to every house in the village with your Titchmarsh Times towards the end of July. The programme contains details of all the classes, and participation is open to everyone, not just villagers. If you plan to participate, submit your entry form (found in the programme) before 3pm on Friday, August 14th. Bring your exhibits to the church on Friday evening between 7:30 – 8:30pm, or on Saturday morning before 11am. Judging begins at 11:15am.

Show Day Schedule

  • 2:30pm: The Show opens to the public. Entry fee is £1 for adults and 50p for children aged 12 and under. Enjoy seeing prize cards displaying the winners’ names next to their exhibits. It’s a popular event where visitors admire the exhibits, catch up with old friends, and celebrate successes. This year there is an opportunity to see programmes, photographs and articles from the last 50 years of Shows, as well as the entries and winners of this year’s children’s colouring competition.
  • Activities: Participate in the traditional game of table skittles and enjoy tea and homemade cakes in the church.
  • 4:30pm:
    • Trophy are presented; this year our guest presenter is Jet Jeffries.
    • The raffle will be drawn immediately after the presentation of trophies.
    • The auction of produce, which commences straight after the raffle, is led by our lively auctioneer Andrew Wager. The auction is always entertaining with prize winning exhibits and fresh produce being auctioned.  Even if you miss visiting the Show during the afternoon, make sure to attend the auction and pick up some bargains.

Important Notes

  • Please do not bring dogs into the church, except for guide dogs. You are welcome to bring your dog to the Show and stay outside on the tables and chairs around the church.

We look forward to seeing you at the Titchmarsh Show for a day of fun, community, and celebration!
