There must have been about 100 people at the momentous beacon lighting in Titchmarsh on Thursday evening at 9.45pm. With perfect weather conditions, the beacon burnt in regal glory, one of more than 1500 beacons across the UK that were all lit at this same time. A memorable occasion.
