Death of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

Opportunities are being provided for our community to mourn the death and celebrate the life of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and to pay tribute to his many years of public service.

From Saturday 10 April a book of condolence will be available in the church, and the area inside the building’s North door has been designated for flowers. All villagers and others who hold our community dear are warmly welcome to leave written or floral tributes.

On Saturday 10 April a half-muffled bell will be tolled 99 times from 12:00.

On Sunday 11 April both the 9:00 service in Titchmarsh church and the 10:30 online service will include prayers for the Prince and his family.

We are looking to hold a special church service service in the evening prior to the Prince’s funeral, and on the day itself a half-muffled bell will be tolled for one hour prior to funeral.

More information will be posted as arrangements are confirmed.

The link below offers a short prayer of thanksgiving for the Prince’s life.
