England jinxed by penalties, but there’s good news at the Village shop AGM – this Tuesday – 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church…
Hopes were high as the best England team for years, stepped out to face Italy at Wembley. What a night, Luke Shaw put England into the lead after 2 minutes, but dreams were shattered as Leonardo Bonucci equalised after the 67th minute hopes were extinguished, and our boys stumbled at the final hurdle (penalties again) in their quest to re-live the glory of 1966…
With the hopes of the nation dashed, you may be looking for a “good news” story, so why not pop along to the Village Shop AGM on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm to hear about what our Managers and Volunteers have achieved over the past year. You may be surprised at what has been going on behind the scenes. If you are a shop shareholder, you will already have received a personal invitation, but everyone is welcome.
During the evening we will be serving complimentary wine and nibbles – see you there…
