From Monday 2nd November we intend to resume operating a café in the church from 9:30 to 11 o’clock every Monday morning. The risk assessment has been done and preparations made!
As always in these strange times, things will be slightly different and there have to be rules.
When you arrive you will be asked to sanitise your hands before entering the church. You will also be asked to put on a mask which will need to worn to enter, leave and move around the church. Masks need not be worn when you are seated.
If you have the NHS App then there is a QR code which you can use to sign in, but don’t worry if you haven’t got the App as your servers will take down your details. By law we have to keep this information for 21 days.
There will be table service only – at tables of up to 6. (Government’s rule of 6 applies). There will be a board setting out what refreshments and home-made cakes are available that day. All servers will be masked. Thank you to those of you who have volunteered to help. Julia & Jackie will be serving on the 2nd to test out how things are working but we will be bringing a blank rota to collect names.
There will be a pot for donations on each table – if you need change please speak to a server and they will arrange this for you safely.
We are sorry but we will not be able to put out any children’s toys so if you are bringing little ones please bring something to keep them amused.
When using the doors to enter and leave the church please observe the priority signs and take care.
After all that we really are looking forward to starting up Monday Morning Café again and having somewhere to meet and chat. We hope to see some of you next Monday.
Julia & Jackie
