Preparations at the Wheatsheaf
As news continues to filter through of the latest relaxation of covid lockdown rules, the Wheatsheaf team have been hard at work. The pub plans to reopen on Monday 12th April and a huge effort has gone into making sure everything is prepared.
Under the current rules, customers must be seated outside the main premises. To ensure everyone is covered in the event of bad weather, the Wheatsheaf have erected several marquees and gazebos in the garden – including the legendary “Beast”. So, even if it does rain on opening night, spirits will not be dampened!
If you haven’t booked a table yet then please do so quickly. The Wheatsheaf is likely to be very busy and without booking you have no guarantee of getting a seat. Call or text Gemma on 07798 918566 for details.

Please note it is a legal requirement for EVERY person to check in via track and trace. There will be a QR code on every table! Service will be provided at the table and there must be no smoking. Finally, as the evenings are likely to be chilly, you are advised to wear warm clothes – or bring a blanket!
After the initial re-opening on Monday, the Wheatsheaf hours will be:
- Wednesdays: 5pm – close
- Friday 12pm – close
- Saturday 12pm – close
- Sunday from 12pm
Also, please don’t forget that even though the pub is open, their brilliant Take-Away service is continuing as normal. In fact, once the pub re-opens, take-aways will be available every day including Saturdays.
