Remembrance Sunday

Following further guidance from the Church of England and Government, Titchmarsh’s Act of Remembrance will take place as planned at 11:00 on Sunday 8th November around the war memorial in the churchyard.

This year’s remembrance will be held in the open air, in what is forecast to be a light breeze, so please wrap up and be prepared for an odd spot of rain.  Social distancing is mandatory so please bring a mask and be prepared to wear it to protect yourself and others.

Remembrance will start with the reading of the names of those who fell in the two world wars.  Nick Compton-Marriott will then bracket our two minutes silence with the last post and reveille, which will be followed by prayers.  Proceedings will be led by our churchwardens, Julia Powell and Stephen Barber.

We hope to see you on Sunday: if you’d prefer to stay indoors, we will also be holding an online act of remembrance at 10:00.  Please email for a link to that.
