As we approach the end of Week 2 of the the government instruction to “stay at home”, I am pleased to report that our village shop suppliers have been pulling out all the stops to keep us stocked up.

Our bread supplier, Kings Cliffe Bakery, deliver fresh bread to us every day (except Sunday) and their popular multi-seed and white sandwich loaves are proving to be very popular… but they do have a wider choice of bread which is available to order. If you fancy wholemeal, malt crunch or a good old fashioned white tin loaf, just give us a call before 11.00am any weekday and we will order your loaf for the next day. Why not enter our Titchmarsh Toastie Challenge…once you have your thick sliced loaf, you have the perfect base for a luscious cheese toastie, and whether you choose cheddar, or perhaps our garlic and herb Green Thunder truckle, you have until 6pm on Good Friday – 10th April – to post a picture of your culinary creation on the Titchmarsh Facebook page, where it will be judged by our “Village Cheesemeister” – Mr Antar Howarth.
