The Titchmarsh Road Races are back!

It’s been a funny few years but, coming to a High Street near you on Sunday 12 May, we’re bringing back the much loved Titchmarsh 10k Road Race and 3k Family Fun Run. This is the 25th time this highly popular event has been held and we’re hoping for a good field of entrants to both races.

Just as in 2022, this will be a “chip timed” event meaning that each competitor will get their own accurate time based on when they cross the start and finish lines. To ensure we have error-free data and to ease the admin burden on race day we have decided to not allow on-the-day entries this year – all entries must be made on-line before 6pm on Saturday 11 May else you will not be able to run. The website link is below.

The 3km starts at 10am with the 10k heading off at 11am. This is a chance to run on a closed road out-and-back course through our beautiful (gently undulating) countryside. The route is marshal controlled with water stations along the way and a medal for all finishers. If you’re not running, why not come along and cheer the runners on? There will be refreshments near the start/finish line and it’s always a lovely atmosphere in perfect weather* (*subject to availability).

For the safety of our competitors, we have been granted a road closure to through traffic for the period 0930-1230 on race day. If you park on the High Street or live on a road affected by this closure, it would be most helpful if you could move your vehicle in advance of the race – a letter will be going out to all affected residents nearer to the time.

That’s all for now, there will be more updates to follow along with a training plan for the 10k which is posted every Sunday on the PFA Facebook page. So what are you waiting for? Sign up NOW!!
