Concert Countdown! Only just over a week remaining until local band Thrapston Town Band perform a joint “Champions of Brass” concert with the world famous The GUS Band in St Mary the Virgin Church, Titchmarsh.

Earlier this year both bands were crowned Midlands Area Champions in their respective sections. Both are now invited to take part in The National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain which will see TTB performing in the Fourth Section at Cheltenham and The GUS Band in the Championship Section at the Royal Albert Hall.

This year both bands also celebrate big milestones in their history as The GUS Band celebrate their 90th Anniversary and Thrapston their 165th Anniversary. The upcoming “Champions of Brass” concert will be a spectacular celebration of over 250 years of brass banding excellence in Northamptonshire.
