Saturday 28th July –Titchmarsh Pavilion –Starts 7.00pm
Two years ago, in the height of summer, a select band of villagers attended the inaugural running of the Titchmarsh Grand National, where we were treated to some keenly contested races from a very competitive field of hand crafted Hobby Horses. Our guest celebrity – Lady Margot Harrell Fortescue Smythe -was on hand to present prizes to the lucky winners, and we are delighted to say she has accepted our invitation to preside at our 2018 event.
This time the race meeting will be held on the hallowed turf of Titchmarsh Pavilion on Saturday 30th July at 7.00pm – Tickets are just £10 and include a Lasagne Supper and a Glass of Pimms. As ever, there will be a fully stocked bar (this is Titchmarsh after all!) and this horse racing can be thirsty work! Our scheduled races will have six runners per race & the winner will be decided by rolling our Giant Dice to see who crosses the line first.
You will have a chance to become an owner of one of our fine steeds from just £5, or you can back your Favourite for just 50p per ticket….. For every £1 you spend, 50% will be awarded in Prize Money and the other half will be shamelessly snaffled to raise funds for the Village Shop. To book a table or reserve your ticket, just ring Sarah Fortescue on 01832 732 579 send an email to– email@example.com or leave your name with Jane in the village shop and we will reserve your place.
Tickets are £10 – payable on the night – tables of 8.
