Titchmarsh’s oldest resident, Len Chapman passed away on Thursday 22nd February at the age of 95.

Len was born near Clopton and spent his working career farming, initially at Foxholes Farm, Bidwell and latterly at Cockbrook Lane, Old Weston. He married Midge in 1946 at Titchmarsh Church and moved into the newly-built houses at Dryden’s Close in 1948, where he lived until his death last week.

He is survived by a daughter Janice, and son Melvyn.

Anyone in the village who knew him is welcome to attend the funeral which will be at 12 noon on Thursday March 8th in St Mary’s Church.
