Wheatsheaf Re-Opening News
With just one week to go until we reopen and after an extensive team meeting yesterday we cannot wait to re open our doors to you all.
However, we cannot re open ‘as we were’. The pub experience must now be different and we all must adapt. Important restrictions MUST be in place, and all guidelines MUST be adhered to. This is for both customer and staff safety and also to protect the future of our pub. We ask that everyone who wants to come into the pub BOOKS a table with us, whether it be for drink or food. Please try to refrain from ‘popping in’ for a pint.
With all this in mind, and we appreciate that these measures are very restrictive, we must operate the day to day running of the business whilst keeping everyone safe.
Please remember that this is only TEMPORARY – and as things change we will change with them where we can. We are relying on everyone to work together and stick to the guidelines.
Our plans for reopening from July 4th are as follows:
Throughout July we will be opening limited hours.
Thursday 5pm – 11pm (food from 5 – 9pm)
Friday 12pm – 11pm (food 12pm – 9pm)
Saturday 12pm – 11pm (food from 12pm – 9pm)
Sunday 12pm – 7pm (food from 12pm – 4pm)
PLEASE BOOK A TABLE
Please book a table with us whether you want food or just drink with us. Tables will be booked in 2hr slots from opening, and will sanitize and clean the area inbetween all tables. We have had to reduce the capacity within the pub and garden to ensure the 2m rule is adhered to which limits the amount of customers we can allow into the premises. We will be running a reduced menu from Thursday – Saturday with limited portions available on some dishes. Sundays we will be offering roast dinners alongside limited specials. If you have not booked a table, you may not be allowed onto the premises. Details can be found below on ways to contact us
TAKE AWAY
During food service times Thursday – Saturday we will be offering take away from our menu items. These MUST be pre ordered and a time slot given for collection. Details on how to contact us to pre order are below.
Government guidelines state that only 2 households can join together inside for dinner. With that in mind we will be taking bookings for maximum of 10 people only. Outside can see more households join together but only a maximum of 6 people. We will be asking for details of all customers to support the track n trace system operated by the government. All customer details will be recorded for 21 days
Hand sanitizing stations will be located around the pub and we encourage both our staff and customers to use them where possible.
⬆️We ask all customers to enter via the front door on North street (disabled access still via carpark) Once inside please make yourself known to Gem, Stu or Leon who will show you to your allocated table. Please remain seated as much as possible, and avoid approaching other people’s tables. we will operate a table service only. Bar service will not be available. Please follow the one-way system around the pub. The toilets will only be accessible from the car park entrance and will operate on a one in, one out basis
Dogs are welcome but we ask that they are kept on a lead at all times whilst in the pub and on our premises
Our summer house will remain closed in the garden and all children’s toys have been removed from the pub. Please ensure that your child remains at your table throughout your visit to the pub, and supervised when going to the toilets. Please feel free to bring any toys that your child may wish to play with at your table.
❗️PLEASE remember, we are all learning this ‘new normal’ together. We are adapting as much as you are. Our main priority is keeping everyone safe. These new rules will be reviewed and as soon as we are able to we will adapt. We are following government guidelines and these rules/restrictions have been put in place to adhere to the new rules.
We are so excited to welcome you all back, and we wish we could hug each and every one of you but for now we must follow the rules. The countdown is now on, and we will see you back in just one week!
Thank you for your continued support
