Wheatsheaf Re-Opens
There was plenty of good cheer in the village on Monday evening as the Wheatsheaf opened it’s doors once again after many months closed. The team have worked very hard to create a comfortable outdoor seating area which is in compliance with covid rules. No fewer than 3 village marquees and gazeebos have been deployed in the beer garden to provide cover. The largest marquee – the Beast – even has overhead heating and lighting which cast a warm glow over the evening.
As expected the village turned out in force and every available seat was taken. Gemma and Leon hardly had time to pause for breath as they rushed around the tables taking orders and delivering drinks. Clearly if things continue in this fashion the pub will very quickly find itself back on its feet again.
The doors will be open again on Wednesday and then regularly at the following hours:
- Wednesdays: 5pm – close
- Friday 12pm – close
- Saturday 12pm – close
- Sunday from 12pm
Also, please don’t forget that even though the pub is open, their brilliant Take-Away service is continuing as normal.
